Dr Heather Nancarrow is the CEO is ANROWS. She has held many state and national leadership roles in regard to policy on the prevention of violence against women.
Heather has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at UNSW and Adjunct Research Fellow at Griffith University.
Her primary research interests are justice responses to violence against women, particularly as they relate to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Heather’s book Unintended Consequences of Domestic Violence Law: Gendered Aspirations and Racialised Realities will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in November, 2019.
